Southeast Missouri gymnastics registered a 195.000 on Friday night's meet, but fell to Illinois State who registered a 195.025 on Senior night at Houck Field House.

Head Coach Ashley Lawson on what Senior Night meant to the team: "Tonight was a very emotional night for the girls. When you have six seniors that have given so much to this program, you realize the impact that they have on their teammates and myself as a coach. I was happy that we came out and put on a great performance, in front of a great crowd, to send our seniors out the right way."

Sophomore Madison Greene registered a career-best on the floor from the sixth-slot as she registered a 9.925, surpassing her previous best of 9.875.

The Redhawks registered a 49.250 on the floor for their highest rotation team score, with Greene's 9.925, and three 9.850s from Lindsey Moffitt, Nyah Reader, and Taylor Ingle.

Senior Molly Maxwell, in her final regular season meet at Houck Field House, registered a 9.775 in the second-slot for the rotation.

Freshman Taylor Ingle started off the night for SEMO on the Vault as the Coppell, Texas-native registered a 9.700.
Lindsay Ockler was back in rotation for SEMO after missing last week with an injury, and hit a 9.875 from the sixth spot. Greene hit a 9.825 before Ockler in fifth to round out the Redhawks top-three scorers.

Back-to-back-to-back 9.800s from Nyah Reader, Lydia Webb, and Janelle Lopez, and the Redhawks were off and running with a 49.100 team score after rotation one.

The Redhawks moved to the uneven bars, where the 2022 defending MIC Bars Champions Lindsay Ockler and Jolie Miller, registered a 9.850 and a 9.750, respectively to lead the Redhawks on the second rotation.
Janelle Lopez hit a 9.750 as well, and Lindsey Moffitt hit a 9.725 to round-out the Redhawks top scorers as SEMO moved to the Beam in the third rotation.

Sophomore Nyah Reader led the Redhawks on Beam with a 9.825, nearly tying her top Beam score of the season (9.875).

Senior Lindsey Moffitt registered the second-highest beam score with a 9.775 and junior Lydia Webb rounded out the top-three scores with a 9.625.

The Redhawks had a running score of 145.750 going into the final rotation.

ISU registered their best score of the evening as a team on the floor rotation (49.225) and the vault rotation (49.200) to register a 195.025, narrowly escaping with a victory on Friday evening.

The Redhawks will wrap-up the 2023 regular season with a trip to in-state foe Missouri on Friday, March 10 to take on the Missouri Tigers, Ball State and North Carolina in the Missouri quad-meet. Competition is slated to begin at 7 p.m., CT. in Columbia, Mo.
